Info
Hopefully, you can find all the info you need for the weekend on this website, and in the list below. If not just send us an email and we’ll be happy to help.
CONTRIBUTIONS
As with all years gone by, we are asking for a £40 contribution to the cost of The Smoking Llama weekend and an additional £5 for a charity. Lovely farmer Tom, who provides us with the luscious Exmoor field, chooses the charity each year.
Please transfer your contributions (£40 plus a £5 donation to charity) to: CA Proctor 04-00-04 52135153
Volunteer for a job
There is a host of jobs that help to make the weekend run smoothly, from stocking up the coffee trailer, to moving furniture, or handing round canapés. If you can offer some time, this would be greatly appreciated.
Please send us a message if you have an idea or would like to help in some way, and we’ll let you know all the options. Alternatively there’s always the bar that needs some bartenders - sign up below!
Sharing is caring
Normally lots of you bring awesome contributions for everyone to enjoy across the weekend. Of course, if this is a culinary delight or some drinks to share then just carry on, but if you’re getting creative with an activity or game (no idea too big or small), please let us know in advance so we can add to the events board and schedule alongside other happenings.
weather
This is a remote spot on top of Exmoor National Park where the weather is wild and unpredictable. In previous years we have had both extreme heat (with sunburn!) and sideways rain. Please make sure you are prepared for both circumstances - this is England after all! The fire pits will be burning brightly in the evenings but it can get cold so make sure you have layers to keep you warm in the later hours, a waterproof jacket to keep you dry and appropriate shoes in case it’s muddy.
Top Tip - Do not just pack based on the weather out the window on the day you’re leaving home!
WASTE & glass
Please make sure you bag up your rubbish around tents immediately to prevent it blowing away and us having to pick it out of bushes on the Sunday. By all means bring some drinks with you but no glass bottles. We can’t risk broken glass in the grass and, when considering taking all rubbish away, bags of crushed cans are much easier!
Dogs
As we will be on a working farm with livestock and sheep in the adjacent fields, unfortunately we aren’t able to allow dogs.
Tea & Coffee
Our coffee trailer will be back and stocked for the mornings to get us all going. Please bring your own mug with you.
Packing List
Warm clothes/layers for when the sun goes down
Waterproof clothing
Wellies/boots
Your creative juices (for joining a workshop or game)
Sun glasses and sun cream
A plate, bowl, mug, knife and fork
Tent, sleeping bag, mattress
Toiletries
You may want to bring some extra water for keeping in your tent/brushing teeth with etc.
Kids
We love you all and your wonderful offspring, however, if everyone brought their small ones, we'd have an extra 70 people and that changes things quite a bit! If you would like to bring your kids, please could you let us know and we can have a think about if it’s going to work. Without them you may have more fun, being able to stay up later and let your hair down for a mini festival-style weekend, just let us know your thoughts.
